H2H Nautical (Cool) Challenge

Wanted to share some FUNN tipps which I used during the evolution of this card.
When I was deciding if the "Welcome Aboard" would fit on the mat,
I stamped the letters on scrap copy paper, cut them out, and worked with ideas.
So much easier than stamping on the final piece only to find out - ooooops!
I would have been "overboard" on this project, for instance!

While I was playing around with stamping, I use a larger block as a "holding station" for the letters.
It is easier than loading on and off the carrier sheet.

Please note there are some different cards being displayed - there is nothing wrong with your eyes.
I started with Daisy White and switched to Kraft, but the FUNN TipP photos were already taken.

To color these letters, I used Water Color Pencils, shaded with Outdoor Denim ink and blended with
a water brush. I was hoping for a "watery" feel or "random ombre".
Now there is a concept - random ombre. A girl has to make words work in her favor, right?
Added a white acrylic paint highlight which was then highlighted by added Liquid Glass.
Highlighting highlights? This could get ridiculous!

It has been so FUNN being the Guest Designer for the Heart 2 Heart Challenge Blog this month!
Thank you for welcoming me aboard for this honor, friends!

If you have never tried posting to the H2H Challenge Blog and you are a Close To My Heart user, I hope you will! I remember the first time I posted I was sooo nervous - now how silly is that.
We are all friend, try it! Show us what you enjoy making!

Thanks for all your visiting!
If you have never strolled around Mary Gunn FUNN, I wish you would.
With years and years of blogging there are some pretty FUNN posts here, intellectual? No, but FUNN!

THANK YOU H2H!
You have done so much to bring the beautiful artistry of Close To My Heart to the net
